It does not teach us to force others to convert, nor force our teachings/beliefs on them. Even no one is supposed to through his/her thoughts on others. But you can guide and convince others towards the reality and truth.
So there are different ways to Bring someone to Islam Guide someone to Islam or Invite someone to Islam.
The act of calling someone to embrace Islam is known as da’wah (دعوة), daawa, or dawah.
There may be different situations, like the person already interested in Islam and want some more information about their questions. Read Before Preaching Islam:
It all depends upon Allah’s will, to whom He will convert to his true religion.
1. You can’t Convert but Allah:
Yes, we can just try to call them to the truth and goodness. It will all depend on Allah to whom he will guide to the right way.
You surely cannot guide whomever you like ˹O Prophet˺, but it is Allah Who guides whoever He wills, and He knows best who are ˹fit to be˺ guided.
[Quran 28, 56]
It doesn’t mean we can try or it is not our duty. We have to preach Islam to others. Whenever we learn something better, we should teach it to others.
2. Have a Clear Understanding of Islam
A caller should have insight and knowledge of the truth to which he invites others somehow with clear evidence if necessary. When you have a perfect grip on Islamic laws (Shareeha) and other rules, then you can answer their questions in a polite manner. First, clear your doubts and work on your weaknesses.
This knowledge may come in handy especially when it comes to discussions. Don’t convey any false information or share things that you are not sure about.
3. Do You Demonstrate a Good Muslim?
First, know that are you a devoted Muslim. Do you put Allah first in your life? Are you a good example of a Muslim demonstration?
If your answer goes against it, then first help yourself before helping others if you don’t meet it.
Have a clear reason as to why you want to convert other people to Islam. Do you feel the obligation, help, or goodness, or is it just a show-off and want to impress others? Do you just really care about others and want them to go with you to heaven?

What does Islam say about Preaching (Da’wah)?
Those who invite others to the truth and goodness are successful people.
And there may spring from you a nation who invite to goodness, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency. Such are they who are successful.
[Quran 4, 104]
There is no better speech than that of those who engage in da‛wah activities. Qur’an says:
And whose words are better than someone who calls ˹others˺ to Allah, does good, and says, “I am truly one of those who submit.”?
[Quran 41, 33]
The best Da’wah is not given in words but by example.

How to Preach and Convince to Convert to Islam?
1. Does he/she Religious or Non-religious?
First of all, you should know about the concept of his religion.
If he/she is religious, like Christian, Hindu, Sikh, or Jew then you have to prove that Islam is superior and true religion over his religion. Read about whether Islam a true religion. Look at the similarities and differences between both religions before pursuing them.
If he/she is non-religious (atheist), then you have to prove that God exists. And now it is easy to prove it in this modern age of science and discoveries.
The people who already believe in Allah or some kind of deity are easy to give da’wah. People who don’t believe in Allah, atheists, are the hardest to give da’wah to.

Invite ˹all˺ to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and kind advice, and only debate with them in the best manner. Surely your Lord ˹alone˺ knows best who has strayed from His Way and who is ˹rightly˺ guided.
[Quran 16, 125]
Wisdom is the ability to make a sensible decision.
It is out of Allah’s mercy that you ˹O Prophet˺ have been lenient with them. Had you been cruel or hard-hearted, they would have certainly abandoned you.
[Quran 3, 159]

You should choose an appropriate method, a time when another person is willing to listen to your talk. Don’t through your knowledge at any time and anywhere.

8. You Can’t Force It
There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path.
[Quran 2:256]
So this is very difficult. Give them time to think, don’t force them, and show them that you care. All you can do is explain the principles of Islam and convince others, but you can’t force any person to follow Islam. Islam allows freedom of religion.
- Convey your message but don’t involve in any argument.
- Don’t get angry at any cost.
- Don’t insult the person or their religion.
- Avoid controversial issues.
- Use common sense to explain Islam because much of Islamic ethics and rules are based on common sense.
9. Respect Their Decision
If Allah wants them to convert, He will make Himself present in their life. If after all of your efforts, they don’t want to accept Islam then you have to respect their decision.
Virtues of Calling Others to Islam:
It is a great virtue to take someone out of the darkness of misguidance into the light of truth and faith. To help someone transition to the right way is a great virtue that can succeed you in this life and hereafter.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “He who calls others to follow the Right Guidance will have a reward equal to the reward of those who follow him, without their reward being diminished in any respect on that account.”
[Sahih Muslim: 2674]
The Prophet ﷺ also said in this respect, “If Allah guides one man through you, this will be better for you than possessing red camels.
[Sahih Bukhari 2847, Sahih Muslim 2406]
It is a Way of Prophets:
Allah sent Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a witness over people, to spread his light to all mankind and good news to the believers of immense reward in the hereafter and warnings to the unbelievers against a severe punishment.
O Prophet! We have sent you as a witness, and a deliverer of good news, and a warner, and a caller to ˹the Way of˺ Allah by His command, and a beacon of light. Give good news to the believers that they will have a great bounty from Allah.
[Quran 33, 45-47]
